Introduction

Chiguard^® 1064 is a low volatility, high-performance ultraviolet light absorber of the hydroxyphenyl triazine class. It exhibits high compatibility with a variety of polymers and resin compositions. Its non-basic nature makes it especially ideal for base-sensitive polymers such as polyester and polycarbonate.

Chiguard^® 1064 offers high thermal stability, extended UV absorption, and superior protection against extreme processing conditions. When combined with HALS (Hindered Amine Light Stabilizers), it enhances performance in preventing gloss reduction, cracking, blistering, and color change.

Application

Chiguard^® 1064 is highly suitable for protecting polyesters, automotive clear coats, powder coatings for plastics and wood, and high-performance industrial coatings.

The recommended dosage of Chiguard^® 1064 ranges from 0.1% to 5%, depending on the substrate and the performance requirements of the final application.
