Chiguard® 5400WB
Introduction
Chiguard® 5400WB is a colloidal emulsion of a hydroxyphenyl triazine (HPT) UV absorber designed for waterborne coatings. Chiguard® 5400WB is recommended where the most common waterborne UV absorber, Chiguard® 5530 is not applicable such as for coating material that carries acidic catalysts, transition metal ions, etc. In addition, Chiguard® 5400WB features long-lasting photo permanence and is therefore the best choice for waterborne coatings that require long-term UV protection and weather durability.

Application
Chiguard® 5400WB is recommended for waterborne formulations used for coil coatings, wood coatings, refinish coatings, and many kinds of industrial coatings based on the following resin systems:
- 1 K polyurethane dispersion
- Waterborne alkyd
- Waterborne melamine-based crosslinker
