Chiguard^® 3030: High-Performance UV Absorber

Introduction

Chiguard^® 3030 is an ultraviolet light absorber (UVA) based on cyanoacrylate chemistry, designed for high-performance engineering polymers. With low volatility and low migration properties, it ensures outstanding light stability while preventing yellowing.

Unlike conventional UV absorbers, Chiguard^® 3030 exhibits strong absorbance in the UVB region without affecting the visible spectrum, making it ideal for transparent polymer applications.

Thermal Stability

Chiguard^® 3030 offers exceptional thermal stability, with a TGA 10% weight loss at 370°C. This high-temperature resistance makes it an excellent choice for engineering plastics, including PET and PC, where prolonged thermal exposure is a key concern.
