The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) initiated the consultation process for the 30th batch of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) on September 1, 2023.
Stakeholders can submit relevant information related to the hazardous characteristics of substances by October 16th, 2023. Subsequently, ECHA will evaluate whether to include them in the 30th batch of SVHC based on the feedback received during the consultation period.
Among the six substances listed below, UV-326 and UV-329 are currently under assessment due to their vPvB (very Persistent and very Bioaccumulative) properties; PI-379, sharing structural similarities with PI-369 from the 22nd batch of SVHC, is also under evaluation for its reproductive toxicity.
The 30th batch of substances are estimated to be announced and included in the SVHC list as early as January to February of 2024.
